Kingdom Leadership Dynamics – Saul and David

During the transition days of Samuel, God began to deal with His remnant people in a new way. He introduced kingdom leadership to Israel through Saul and David—but oh, what a contrast between the spirit of leadership in Saul and David!
Today, the same transition is occurring within the Body of Christ in the New Testament, spiritual sense. A transition has come in this generation: God is dealing with His remnant people in a new way. He has introduced kingdom leadership again to the Church—and oh, what a contrast between the spiritual leadership of Saul and David in the Church!
A new wineskin is emerging, but the spirit of leadership in the Body must change to fit the strategy of God for the new season as well. The ministry of Jesus is our ministry, and we must make His ministry our ministry. But, we must do the ministry of Jesus with the disposition and heart of Jesus!
He is David’s son. The kingdom He makes eternal is the one David originated and established. We learn a great deal from the kingdom leadership dynamics of Saul and David because this is God’s initiation of kingdom leadership among His remnant people.
God’s remnant people represent what God wants for everyone; a remnant is not God’s leftovers but the first fruits. God chooses remnant people to seed the earth. When He introduced kingdom leadership to Israel, He was thinking of the King of kings who would make that kingdom eternal.
The transition of kingdom leadership from the spirit of leadership in Saul to the spirit of leadership in David is happening now in the Body of Christ.
