Twelve years ago God began speaking to me about the nature of revival. I immediately began writing about “the last American revival” because I had always been totally about the US in terms of ministry. I was experiencing God is new, powerful ways and interpreting these experiences in the context of my spiritual history.
During these early days of revival revelation, the tendency to make my experiences into principles was stronger. This tendency is fundamentally flawed, of course, and serves to confuse and contradict revival more than it serves to authenticate or establish it.
Your revival experiences should mature as you mature spiritually in the revival experiences that moved you into a new season.
